American Bitch 3.0
The bitch is back and this time… she’s turning 30.
Beatrice Owens (Hands on a Hardbody) returns to the Keegan Theatre stage to take stock of her 20s and prepare for the big 3-0. Through personal stories, a nervous breakdown (or five), and a soundtrack of pop/rock and musical theatre favorites, Owens invites you along for the party that is discovering your identity, agency, and finally asking, “Why si 30 such a big fucking deal, anyway?”

boat play [working title]
This is a play about men and consequences. What would it look like to let men confront their vulnerability head on? What happens when there is, quite literally, nowhere to go to avoid the inevitable? How is vulnerability magic? What role does alcohol play in our escapism? These are the driving questions of boat play. Well, that, and an undeniable need to write about water. Water as a parellel to the hidden depths and frightful mystery of our own hearts.

Whale Fall
“I’ve been having these dreams…”
From the moment it was out, it meant the end. Like a prophecy in a Greek tragedy, to fight against it was only to expedite the inevitable execution. There was no prevention.
Whale Fall is a semi-autobiographical, one-act play exploring the space, both literal and emotional, that throws a long-distance couple into crisis. Two people separated by the Atlantic, separated by their fear of love and commitment, fight against their inevitable destruction. The ocean, both insurmountable obstacle and subconscious safegaurd, is their only remaining tether to one another. It isn’t enough.
